Toyota Prius Wins 2024 World Car Design Award
The Toyota Prius has been a pioneer in the hybrid sedan market, and its 2023 redesign has taken it to new heights. With a sporty exterior and sleek silhouette, the Prius has been turning heads and earning high praise. Its latest accolade is the prestigious 2024 World Car Design of the Year award, beating out 70 other competitors.
"We are honored to be recognized for World Car Design of the Year," said Mike Tripp, Toyota Marketing group vice president. "Our design and engineering teams reimagined what this iconic hybrid vehicle could be, and the response from our customers has been incredible. We are thrilled that the World Car jury was equally captivated by the stunning design."
Under the hood, the Prius is powered by the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System with a 2.0L engine. This setup allows the Prius to achieve an impressive EPA rating of up to 57 MPG combined. On the front-wheel-drive model, the output is 194 horsepower, while models equipped with the available Electronic On-Demand AWD system see a slight increase to 196 HP. The Prius is available in LE, XLE, or Limited grades, offering a range of options to suit different preferences.
Inside, the Prius is packed with technology, including the Toyota Audio Multimedia Audio system, and comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This ensures that drivers and passengers are safe and entertained on every journey.
The Toyota Prius continues to lead the way in hybrid technology and design, and its latest award is a testament to its innovative spirit and commitment to excellence.
