Toyota Land Cruiser Goes Big: Arctic Trucks’ Widebody AT37

When it comes to rugged off-road capabilities and eye-catching designs, Arctic Trucks has long been a standout name. Known for their iconic arctic adventure-ready Toyota Hi-Lux trucks, made famous by Top Gear and its trio of adventurous hosts, Arctic Trucks has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of vehicle modification. Their latest creation, the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser AT37, is no exception, combining Toyota’s legacy of reliability with Arctic Trucks’ expertise in extreme terrain performance.

A New Era for a Legendary Vehicle

The AT37 is based on Toyota's latest iteration of the Land Cruiser, a name synonymous with off-road prowess and versatility. Arctic Trucks has elevated this legendary SUV with a widebody transformation and a slew of upgrades designed to handle the most remote and challenging terrains on Earth.

The name "AT37" highlights one of the key upgrades—the Land Cruiser’s massive 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. These tires come in two variants: the All-Terrain T/A KO3s for all-purpose ruggedness or the Mud-Terrain T/A KM3s for maximum grip in challenging off-road conditions. Measuring 37x12.50R17, the tires are mounted on forged aluminum Arctic Trucks Heritage wheels finished in satin black, equipped with dual valve stems to allow for precise pressure adjustments.

Advanced Tire and Suspension Upgrades

Arctic Trucks takes tire management to the next level with an integrated central tire inflation system, making it easier to adjust pressures on the fly to suit varying terrains. Supporting this setup is a recalibrated speedometer, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) to account for the larger tire diameter.

The extensive modifications go beyond the tires. The Land Cruiser’s frame, body, and suspension were all re-engineered to accommodate the increased size and weight of the upgrades. Ground clearance is boosted by 1.5 inches, and the new R53 suspension system includes monotube dampers with matched springs. These dampers offer two-way damping adjustments, allowing drivers to fine-tune their ride for comfort or performance. Together, these modifications ensure increased wheel travel and enhanced ride quality, even in the harshest environments.

Widebody Design and Functional Enhancements

The widebody design of the AT37 is more than just aesthetic. The widened stance is achieved with bold fender flares that not only look aggressive but also serve functional purposes. Each flare features a molded tire pressure guide and a recess for the central tire inflation system’s connection. Complementing these flares are custom mud guards adorned with the Arctic Trucks logo, ensuring the AT37 is as practical as it is striking.

Stepping into this modified Land Cruiser is made easier with side steps crafted from extruded aluminum, complete with rubberized inserts for added grip in slippery conditions. Out back, Arctic Trucks has cleverly integrated a discrete two-inch receiver hitch, offering a versatile towing point that can also accommodate accessories like winches, cargo carriers, or even portable barbecues.

Interior Refinements

The interior of the AT37 sees subtle yet impactful upgrades to match its rugged exterior. The cabin is enhanced with Arctic Trucks-branded floor mats, sill plates, and a unique shifter and dash trim. These touches maintain the Land Cruiser’s luxurious appeal while emphasizing its newfound off-road focus.

Exclusive Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser AT37 is expected to hit Arctic Trucks dealerships by the second quarter of 2025. Customers in the U.S. and other markets will have the option to purchase a fully modified vehicle or have their existing Land Cruiser converted. While official pricing has yet to be announced, Arctic Trucks’ past offerings suggest that the conversion kit alone will cost north of $20,000.

A New Standard for Adventure Vehicles

With the AT37, Arctic Trucks has once again demonstrated its ability to transform capable vehicles into extraordinary adventure machines. By combining Toyota’s legendary Land Cruiser platform with cutting-edge engineering and design, the AT37 is poised to tackle the world’s toughest terrains in style.

Whether you’re navigating snow-covered arctic landscapes or exploring rugged mountain trails, the 2025 Arctic Trucks Toyota Land Cruiser AT37 is built to go where few vehicles can, making it a dream come true for off-road enthusiasts and adventurers alike.
