The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona marks the dawn of the electric muscle car era with its sleek two-door body style and two formidable trims: the R/T with up to 496 horsepower and the Scat Pack with up to 670 hp. Powered by a 400-volt architecture and a 93.9-kWh battery, Dodge targets an impressive 317 miles of range for the R/T and 260 miles for the Scat Pack.
While some may argue that the Ford Mustang Mach-E was the first electric muscle car, it's clear that the Charger Daytona holds the true spirit of the muscle car lineage. Unlike the Mach-E, which leans more towards SUV territory, the Charger Daytona stays true to its roots with a performance-focused design that honors its legacy.

Next year, Dodge plans to introduce the SRT Banshee model with an 800-volt system and a two-speed transmission, alongside Chargers with internal-combustion engines.

The Charger Daytona lineup will initially only offer a two-door body style, with a four-door version slated for release next year. The R/T and Scat Pack trims carry over from the previous generation, with dual electric motors providing standard all-wheel drive. The R/T will debut with up to 496 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, while the Scat Pack will offer up to 670 horses and 627 pound-feet.
In terms of performance, the new electric Chargers will surpass their predecessors. Dodge claims the Daytona R/T will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, while the Scat Pack will achieve it in just 3.3 seconds. These models are also expected to excel at the drag strip, with quarter-mile times of 13.1 seconds for the R/T and 11.5 seconds for the Scat Pack.

To enhance its performance capabilities, the Charger Daytona features a selection of drive modes, including the exhilarating Drift and Donut modes. These modes, along with the Track Pack's upgraded Brembo brakes and performance data recorder, ensure that the Charger Daytona delivers an unmatched driving experience.
